Classical venetians, these blinds have horizontal slats, one above the other, are made of real or faux wood and come in a wide range of colors and finishes. The slats are suspended by cloth tapes which allows their rotation in unison to allow the light to pass through them when rotated 90 degrees or block the light if they are rotated about 170 degrees.

Practical, Reliable
A great combination of quality and practical operation, 2-inch horizontal blinds can be tilted to create degrees of privacy and the amount of light entering the room. These blinds are provisioned with a side wand to position or tilt the slats to desired angle, but they cannot be rolled up from the bottom unless they are equipped with a spring mechanism in the headrail that allows you to operate them manually.
Motorization options exist but they are not too common and they add to the cost of these blinds that are otherwise inexpensive to begin with.
